Otgol Village

Introduction to Otgol Village

Otgol Village is a village inhabited
by the descendants of the Daeamgong sect.

The name Otgol comes from the abundance of lacquer trees in the past.

Otgol Village
The village has been our hometown for over 400 years since Grandfather Daeamgong entered the village in 1616.
Over the past 400 years, we have had many joys and sorrows, but we have silently protected and cultivated the village. Although there is a heaviness of time, we would appreciate it if you come to our village with a joyful heart.
We hope that you can experience the atmosphere of 400 years by exploring Bibo Forest, Jeongryeo-gak, Baekbul Old House, Sugudang, and Donggyejeong.

To preserve the history of the past 400 years, protect the village, and prepare for the next 1000 years, the members of Otgol 1616 Cooperative formed a cooperative in May 2019 and are engaged in the Hanok stay, experience, and cafe business.
